Welcome to this weeks Irregular Update, which features Chapter Seven of the Tour Diaries, as well as a whole lot more for your reading pleasure. As originally promised, this time the Chapters have all gone up on time and the draft of the last Chapter is finished. All that is required is for Brian to proof read it, then all I have to put the finishing touches to it, so it will be out next week, on time, and on budget. :)  Hurrah!

First up, the Nigerian Dom Scam story is still receiving feedback. These scumbags are doing a roaring trade ripping off business in the UK. Thanks to the exchange of information with a company that got caught, I have received further details on how these slime balls get away with their fraudulent activity. The "Old Bill" are bloody useless and the Credit Card issuing company, in my opinion, is criminally negligent in their behaviour. Read the Update here.

The Readers Q & A section has been redesigned to facilitate easier navigation and hopefully, to encourage more people to participate. So if you have any wine related questions, please feel free to send them to me. There is no such thing as a stupid question, and if you are wondering about a subject, the chances are that others are wondering about it too.

A new Readers Write article has been posted. This one came about as a result of an email interchange between that infamous NZ viticulturalist Murray Paterson and I. Murray took exception to my use of the term "wild yeast" and explains why its a furphy. The exchange then moved onto Brett and screwcaps and how all three fit into a complex picture. If that sounds hard to understand or technical, Murray does a great job of explaining it simply. And as usual, what he has to say is enlightening. Wild Yeast, Brett and Screwcaps will interest many people, even if the topic sounds boring. It can be found here.

A new wine related funny has also been added.

This week in Chapter Seven of the 2007 South Australian Tour Diaries, we continue our journey through the Barossa. Our first appointment at Laughing Jack was no joke as it didn't happen. Next was Peter Lehmann, which is right back on track and now better than ever. The Willows was followed by a thumbs up visit to Gibson. I avoided pies at lunchtime - yippee- and whilst we were at Salters, we tasted through the Saltram Range. We visited Murray Street Vineyards for the first time, where we tried (and bought)  some terrific wines, as well as a few that had reductive issues. Vinecrest was entirely forgettable, but then we moved onto an unforgettable experience at Deisen, which was one of the best highlights of the whole trip (and one that caused me a load of grief after it.) All in all, it was probably the most enjoyable day of the trip, so don't miss reading Chapter Seven.

Tasting notes for Cofield Wines latest releases have been added. They can be found here.
