Tim Adams 2006 The Fergus Aug 08 sells for $19 at cellar door and is sealed under screwcap. The bouquet shows spice, earthy characters, blackberry, mint and milk chocolate. Loads of fresh, slightly tart, spicy fruit is driving the wine. Milk chocolate, blackberry, dried herbs/oregano, savoury plum, and aniseed flavours finish fresh and with excellent intensity for its medium-weight. An open wine with a soft consistency, its an easy-drinking, bistro or barbecue wine with is loads of flavour for the buck. Rated as Agreeable with *** for value, drink over the next four years.
